Going Well

We got an update around 4:15 pm that Dr. Reddy was done with the repair. He was waiting for cardiology to come do an echo to check all the pressures to make sure he was happy with everything. If things weren't to his liking he would tweak things until he was happy. We got word around 4:40 pm that the echo looked great and Dr. Reddy was beginning to take everything out and get ready to close the chest. That means the repair took way less time than anticipated. I am taking that as good news that all went well. It will still be awhile before we get to see him, but all is going well currently.

In between those two updates, our social worker took us on a tour of the new CVICU unit so we would be prepared when we go up there later today and spend time there in the next few days.  We also put in a request for a specific nurse tonight and the next two days during the day shift.  We know nurses we would love to have care for Caden.  Hopefully it will work out to get them.

Thank you Lord for watching over Caden and the surgeon during this time. Thank you for putting people in our lives to lift us up and encourage us during this stressful experience. We are so grateful!
