Tuesday, July 31, Caden had a follow-up
appointment with his pulmonologist. He's doing excellent and it
looks like we get to wean him completely off his maintenance
nebulizer medication! Woohoo!!! That means he is only on two
medications now (Singulair and his growth hormone). He's been on
maintenance nebulizer meds since he was 10 months old and his former
pulmonologist didn't think we would be able to wean him off. But
here we are!
I know when he gets sick we will have
to do some rescue meds with the nebulizer for him but it is so
freeing to not be tied to the neb twice/day every day like we have
been. I really hope he continues to do well and we can keep things
this way! Keep him in your prayers as we move forward. Now that
he's in preschool he's exposed to anything and everything... :/ I'm
just hoping as he's getting healthier and stronger lungs that he will
be able to weather illnesses better than in the past.
